Daniel Bennett
I am a lecturer in the School of Psychological Sciences at Monash University. My research tends to fall under the headings of cognitive psychology and affective science: I study the manifold interactions between emotion and cognition, with an emphasis on understanding the role of emotion in learning and decision making. I also conduct research into how these processes affect decision-making behaviour in the context of gambling. Before joining Monash, I was a postdoctoral researcher with Yael Niv at Princeton University, and prior to that I completed a PhD in Psychology with the Decision Neuroscience Lab at the University of Melbourne.
